Eightify is a Chrome extension that is powered by OpenAI GPT-3 & ChatGPT, to create AI driven summaries for YouTube videos. AI driven apps are all the rage right now due to their ease of use & their “intelligent”, ultra-quick reaction-time.
The extension, using AI, helps users to peruse a list of videos that are summarized into 8 key points in order to assess if they are worth watching.
The app makes it easy to save time & evaluate Content. People no longer need to waste time wading through long videos only to discover that there’s nothing valuable in the video. The extension is good for defining quality Content from videos on podcasts & interviews, news reports, product reviews, education & tutorials.
To install the Chrome extension potential users need to click the “Add to Chrome” button on the Eightify Website. Check to see if their permissions are in order & then click “Add Extension”. Currently, the app is only available to PC users, but the developer is planning mobile support for the near future. The extension is entirely free to use.
To see the AI summaries in action users need to click the “Summarise” button on the extension when they’re on the video’s “page” on the Net. An AI-generated summary is produced in 10-20 seconds & offers an overall summary as well as 8 key points alongside a timeframe drawn from the video. It’s that simple. Users can then go through their list of videos & select those that are worth the effort & data usage.
According to Eightify, the app allows users to save time, make decisions faster, learn more in less time, overcome language barriers & generally, find solutions far more quickly. What’s not to like?
