“Tome” is AI-driven storytelling app – Startups

Creating a slide-based presentation using tools such as Microsoft’s PowerPoint or Google Slides can be a laborious, time-consuming endeavor. Tome, founded by Henri Liriani & Keith Peiris is an AI-driven storytelling app that has been designed to replace old-fashioned methods of creating presentations in outdated apps.

Tome uses ChatGPT & DALL-E to assist creators so that they can create a storyboard slideshow in minutes rather than hours. Based on a text prompt (or dictated instruction) the app will generate a suitable layout, present possible images & create a storyboard for users to edit to their liking. The app also features numerous readymade templates for creators to select from which can be edited.

Choosing between an AI auto-generated solution & a template depends on what the creator wants to achieve. The auto-generated option is really great for pitches & fundraising storyboards, while the template solution is wonderful for creating tutorials, resumes & product promotions.

The template creation tool is a breeze to use. After selecting either a blank starter or a readymade layout creators can add “pages”, images, videos, text & lists. There are options to select fonts & colors as well as add an audio presentation as an inset video on each slide.

The auto-generated option creates a presentation from scratch, populated with images & text. All the creator needs to do is provide a prompt. To use the app, creators need to register an account & sign in to their workspace. The iOS App is a scaled-down version of the Online version, so users wanting all the features should use Tome’s website on a PC.

Tomes’s workspace allows users to invite team members to collaborate, comment & edit layouts, so all decision-making on the final product can happen in one place. Once users have created their Content they can generate shareable links to embed on social media or share via email.
