Micro-blog Twitter has taken fresh steps to halt abusive tweets. In its update yesterday, Twitter said both, its policy & technology had received fresh updates aimed at making the platform less hostile. It had changed its “Violence and Threats” policy to cover a broader range of offenses.

One of the biggest problems with Twitter’s re-tweet functionality has just been resolved. The micro-blog announced late on Monday that it had launched its ‘retweet with comment’ feature, one that it had begun testing about a year ago. ‘Retweet with comment’ allows users to RT by adding their own comments/observations to the tweet. This was earlier not possible for Web Twitter users & iOS app Twitter users. The drawback was something that was always criticized by Twitter users.
