Now you may re-tweet with a comment

One of the biggest problems with Twitter’s re-tweet functionality has just been resolved. The micro-blog announced late on Monday that it had launched its ‘retweet with comment’ feature, one that it had begun testing about a year ago.
‘Retweet with comment’ allows users to RT by adding their own comments/observations to the tweet. This was earlier not possible for Web Twitter users & iOS app Twitter users. The drawback was something that was always criticized by Twitter users.
Now, Twitter users can embed someone’s else’s tweet in their own tweets. This also effectively means users can get around Twitter’s 140-character limit simply by adding their own notes/observations to someone’s else’s tweet.
Earlier, Twitter would allow users to embed ‘quoted tweets’ by cutting-&-pasting its URL. But now, with the ‘retweet & comment’ feature, this is possible at the click of a button.
The new feature allows Twitter users to add 116 characters of commentary when they RT.
