5 WordPress (new) plugins to enhance your social media presence – e-Why, What & How

A social media presence is essential if you want to enhance an Online brand, whether it’s a blog, e-commerce Site or service orientated enterprise. Without social media traffic a Website will fail to grow at speed. Functions that plugins perform may include the option to install social “share” buttons, install feeds from various networks on your pages or to automate & schedule posting.

So, as a WordPress Site owner, which plugins can you install on your Site to allow easy cross-sharing & posting to social networks? We’re going to look at a few newer plugins & a few old favorites that WordPress Site owners might find useful:

  1. Social Planner

By Anton Lokin. Free

A brand new plugin launched only a few weeks ago with a great set of features bound to make posts easier to share to a host of networks. The plugin facilitates the scheduling of posts to social media – Facebook, Twitter, VK.com, Telegram & others. The process is automated. Users need to publish a post & either the entire post or a nicely formatted announcement with a backlink will be published to all configured social networks. Plugin works with profiles, business pages, community pages, groups, etc.

       2. Easy SocialShare

By EasyToolbox. Free

This is a stripped down, basic social button installation plugin, which is lightweight & offers sharing facilities to a large number of social networks, which include:
Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Pinterest, Reddit, Tumblr, WhatsApp, Telegram & others. Features include the ability to resize & customize social icons to blend in with any site, select a custom position to display icons, & there’s an option to display only the buttons required.

      3. Social Media Share Buttons Popup & Pop Up Social Sharing Icons

By UltimatelySocial. Free (lots of functionality) & Pro versions

With over 200,000 installs & an overall user rating of 4.72 (out of 5), this plugin must be doing something very right. The plugin allows users to add share icons for RSS, Email, Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Pinterest, Instagram, YouTube & 200+ other social media platforms. Users can customize their social media icons of choice. Feature packed – users can choose from 16 different designs & they can animate the buttons to attract visitors attention. The plugin also offers a subscribe option to visitors, & they include pop up capture forms & buttons.

     4. Revive Old Posts

By revive.social. Free & Pro versions

With over 40 000 installs, the plugin allows users to schedule new & old content & to share it in an automated fashion on a number of the most popular social networks. This works well for users who need to keep their posts “following” on their social accounts & use content they may have complied at an earlier time, but which is relevant on particular dates, say for instance posts about holidays such as Easter or Christmas.

     5. Spotlight Social Media Feeds

By RebelCode. Free & Pro versions

This plugin for WordPress has been developed specifically for Instagram. Users can connect multiple Instagram accounts & create unlimited Instagram feeds to embed across their website. A simple way to share your Instagram Content.

A word of caution: always check how a plugin affects your overall Site’s performance; in other words check that your Site speed has not been impacted. The great thing about WordPress plugins is that you can install & delete at will.
