Security vulnerability in Android app with one billion downloads – News


Popular Android app SHAREit allegedly contains unpatched vulnerabilities that the app maker has failed to fix for more than three months, according to reports. Trend Micro said it had discovered several vulnerabilities in SHAREit. These could be abused to leak a user’s sensitive data & execute arbitrary code with SHAREit permissions by using a malicious code or app. They can also potentially lead to Remote Code Execution.
