Audio-only app Clubhouse comes out of beta – News

Clubhouse comes out of beta

Audio-only app Clubhouse has now come out of beta, & is available to all.

Announcing this from its Website, Team Clubhouse said the availability to the general public meant the “waitlist” system has been removed to allow anyone to join. If you have a club, you can post your link. If you are a creator with an audience, you can bring them all on. If you’re hosting a public event, anyone can attend. You can bring close friends, classmates, family members, coworkers, & anyone else you like — on iOS or Android.

“It’s been a  rollercoaster first half of the year, & we’ve emerged much bigger than we were in January, said Clubhouse. Even the team size has grown from 8 to 58 people. The number of daily rooms has grown from 50k to half a million.

Clubhouse said it had also added 10 million people to the community since it launched Android in mid-May this year, & seen 90 million direct messages sent since it had launched Backchannel last week. The average listener now spends over an hour a day on Clubhouse, & a major percentage of people don’t just listen, but actually talk.

Meanwhile, the breadth of communities & clubs continues to grow each day, across the world, in all sorts of surprising ways, it said.

Perhaps those are the reasons why Clubhouse comes out of beta now.
