Atlassian launches Atlassian Intelligence – AI

Atlassian has announced the launch of Atlassian Intelligence, a new suite of AI-powered features integrated into its Cloud-based products.

The company, which has a strong presence among developers, has broadened its offerings over the last few years to include IT departments & other teams. Atlassian Intelligence offers a ChatGPT-like chatbox that allows users to reference specific documents & draft social media posts based on product specs. In Jira Software, developers can quickly draft test plans based on operating system information. In Jira Service Management, a virtual agent can automate support interactions & translate natural language queries into Atlassian’s Jira Query Language.

The new features are currently only available in the Cloud-based versions of Atlassian’s products, with no plans to bring them to the data center editions. Early access is available to those who join a waitlist, & some features will become paid over time. However, the virtual agent for Jira Service Management will be included at no extra cost in Atlassian’s Premium & Enterprise plans.

Atlassian’s broadened offerings give it a unique view into how teams collaborate, which it leverages for its new product suite. The company’s strong presence among developers makes it a key player in the increasingly competitive market for ChatGPT-enabled features. Atlassian Intelligence’s integration of AI-powered features into Atlassian’s existing products is designed to save time & streamline collaboration across teams.

Overall, Atlassian Intelligence’s integration of AI-powered features into its suite of Cloud-based products is a major step towards streamlining collaboration across teams. The suite’s integration of ChatGPT-like chatboxes, virtual agents, & natural language query translation will be particularly useful for Jira Service Management users.
