Anker revealed the Eufy MindBase as a "central brain for the home", a local AI hub that runs an on-device, Anker-developed LLM to handle security camera footage and broader home automation.

So, the hub can process your footage without sending it to the cloud, and the hardware is built for large on‑premise libraries, the product is reported to support 48TB of local storage.
The no-so-fat controller
It will act as a Matter controller, running Matter 1.5 and able to support over 40 Matter device categories, and will work with Apple’s HomeKit Secure Video. Anker has hasn’t revealed the price or release date yet.
Anker is pitching MindBase as different from cloud‑first camera systems by combining local inference with a hub that includes radios for typical smart‑home networking, for example, dual-band Wi‑Fi.

Eufy Security spokesperson Janet Jin told The Verge the company plans to integrate Matter‑compatible third‑party cameras.
For now the practical test for buyers is straightforward: MindBase matters if you want on‑device AI and a single local controller for a mixed smart‑home; its real impact will hinge on the missing details, chiefly price and availability.
