Google has raised the list price of its 4K Google TV Streamer to $149, an increase of $50 over the original $99.
The new price is already visible on the Google Store and Best Buy, while Amazon is still offering the original price on remaining stock.
The move follows other recent Google product pricing changes, coming just weeks after the company refreshed its Pixel 11 phones with a roughly $100 price hike.
Hardware makers have been passing higher costs to buyers across the sector: Amazon raised the price of the Fire TV Stick 4K Max to $84.99, and Apple’s Apple TV 4K now lists at $199 for 64GB and $249 for 128GB.
Google positioned the streamer as a higher-end device when it launched in 2024, including hardware that also doubles as a smart home hub, which helps explain why it has remained a regularly discounted SKU until now.
Google and other vendors point to rising component shortages and broader supply pressure as the reason for higher list prices. For shoppers the practical effect is immediate: if you want the old price you may still find it on Amazon while stock lasts; otherwise $149 is the new baseline.
This is a small but clear example of consumer hardware shedding the occasional loss-leading price points of the past few years; for bargain buyers the window is short, for everyone else the Streamer now sits at a higher starting price.
