Now ‘Blurt’ out write – #Startups

writing tool

How many times have you found yourself bursting with thoughts, only to get stuck when you tried penning them? ‘Blurt’, an app, a writing tool by Corey Gwin, aims at giving vent to your ideas, & help you write.

  • Get the thoughts out: The Writing Sessions tool aims at getting you all prepped up to get the words flowing. A duration or a word count is set to ease the writer in. This tool when combined with another feature Blur prevents you from correcting your work early on.
  • Grammar Nazi: Smart Edit feature identifies bad grammar, long-winded sentences & makes the work easier to read. Highlight a word & you’ll get its synonym. The app also provides summarization to improve the quality of your work.
  • It’s all a Blur: As you type using this writing tool, the text gets blurred. This is to stop you from revising or correcting your work too soon. The reason: Early criticism affects the writing.
  • Bullet this: The Outline tool allows you to structure the Content & put notes, research, links on a paragraph you are working on.
  • Wordcount: Writing Stats keeps a tab on the words you key-in daily. This, they claim, is to help you develop a habit of writing. Also, the read time of your copy can be calculated by clicking on the word count in the bottom right.
  • Do not disturb: The minimalistic interface helps you weave your thoughts without any distractions & the text is easy to read.
Your work is auto-saved & can be accessed on both mobile & Web.
  • Publish: Once done, your work is accessible from Blurt profile by making it Public. You can also share the link.
Blurt, the writing tool, is currently offers a 15-day free trial, after which you need to pay.
