Here’s news from the Alphabet stable. Android Pay & Google Wallet are being folded into a single payment brand called, ‘Google Pay’. Right now, the move is largely just a logo refresh, but down the line Google says it will take considerable advantage of these new synergies.
According to a post on its official blog, Pali Bhat, VP, Products Management said with Google Pay, it’ll be easier for you to use the payment information saved to your Google Account, so you can speed through checkout with peace of mind. Over the coming weeks, you’ll see Google Pay Online, in store, & across Google products, as well as when you’re paying friends.
