Automattic, the company responsible for WordPress.com and the open-source WordPress project, has recently launched an AI assistant specifically designed for the popular Content management system.
This new assistant seamlessly integrates with WordPress.com and all Jetpack-powered sites, providing users with the ability to incorporate an “AI Assistant” block into their Content. Through natural language prompts, users can leverage the AI assistant to generate text, create structured lists and tables, adjust the tone of their posts, and even receive title suggestions.
The AI assistant supports 12 languages and surpasses the spelling and grammar correction capabilities of WordPress’s native tools. As a free trial, users can utilize the Jetpack AI Assistant block for up to 20 requests. Subsequently, a subscription fee is required to continue accessing this feature.
The new AI assistant for WordPress aims to assist writers in generating Content ideas and offers additional features like post summaries and title suggestions. It enables writers to translate their Content into multiple languages, facilitating the process of initially writing in their native language and subsequently translating it to English or other target languages.
Furthermore, the assistant can modify the tone of a post, making it more informal, skeptical, humorous, confident, or empathetic. With superior spelling and grammar correction capabilities compared to WordPress’s default tools, the new AI assistant provides users with an enhanced writing experience.
