WhatsApp beta testers received an exciting surprise this week: the company seems to be in the process of testing an iPad-optimized version of its iOS app. This development was initially discovered by WABetaInfo, who observed that version 23.19.1.71 of WhatsApp’s TestFlight app now incorporates this new iPad application.
Based on the screenshots available, the iPad app functions exactly as one would anticipate. The connection process is the same, involving scanning a QR code, similar to linking your account with any other device. On the left, you’ll find a list of your conversations, while your current chat is displayed on the right. Essentially, it mirrors the iOS app, with the key distinction being that you can view both panes simultaneously.
