What is Mozilla’s ‘BugBug’ tool?

Mozilla has revealed what it’s ‘BugBug’, a machine learning tool involved in bug removal does.

Mozilla said it receives hundreds of bug reports & feature requests from Firefox users daily.  Getting them quickly to the engineers is of essence. That’s where bug triage comes in: until a developer knows a bug exists, they won’t be able to fix it.

Given the large number of bugs filed, it is unworkable to make each developer look at every bug. This is why, on Bugzilla, Mozilla groups bugs by product, e.g. Firefox, Firefox for Android, Thunderbird, etc.).

ML tool BugBug automatically assigns a product for each new untriaged bug. By presenting new bugs quickly to triage owners, Mozilla hopes to decrease the turnaround time to fix new issues.
