“Todoist” organizes your tasks, & offers boards to improve productivity – Startups

to do lists

To do lists is something we all require. The key to managing a busy life is without doubt, organization. If you’re constantly bombarded with tasks that need completion, allocating a time & space for them in your life can eliminate chaos & create order…with order comes peace of mind and, obviously, a more productive work ethic.

“Todoist” is a lifestyle productivity app, it’s a vehicle that users can employ to organize their tasks. Available on both the Google Play Store & the Apple App Store, the app is free to download (premium paid plans are available for businesses & large teams). This UK-based task manager has been around since 2007 & boasts a staggering 1.5 billion tasks, which users have organized through the app since its inception.

When it comes to features, it’s easy to understand the app’s popularity. “Quick Tasks” lets users set up a new task at the click of a button, & use natural language to simply “jot” down a label for the “ToDo”. Once done, a time & priority level can be assigned to the task, & an option even exists to delegate the task to a team, family member or friend.

“Tasks” may be set to recurring or “once-off” & are instantly synced on all devices the user may use, offering timely reminders, so that nothing is forgotten. At the end of the day, tasks can be marked off as completed, & the app offers visual stats, such as graphs & badges, to give users an overview of their productivity.

“Boards” are a new feature offered by ToDoist, & its function is to give a “birds-eye-view” of tasks. This tool could be of interest to businesses who may need to assign tasks to team members & keep an overall tally of all the completed jobs. The tool offers visual task mapping & can be set up to offer simple or complex task management.

Although the app can be used as an independent platform, it offers integration support for a number of commonly used productivity & storage tools, such as Zapier, Dropbox, Slack, Google Calendar, Google Assistant, Alexa, just to name a few. So all your apps can be synced, & function as backup or improved productivity cells. If you’d like to get a broad overview before downloading the app, head over to ToDoist’s Website, where they offer in-depth details on their apps.
