There’s a new search engine in town & its called “neeva”.
Currently in limited beta testing, you need to get on to a waiting list for access. Before you groan & say aloud, “Not one more search engine, maan”, here’s the deal: the founders of neeva say “it was created to give you a choice in how you search and experience the Internet”.
Neeva has been founded by Sridhar Ramaswamy, a former SVP of Ads at Google & Vivek Raghunathan, ex-VP of Monetization at YouTube. The team they lead at this startup claims to have been involved with products like Google, Snap & DropBox. Impressive.
On its Website, they say: we built neeva to feel like your personal corner of the Web, designed specifically for you — always ad-free & private.”
That’s right. Like a few non-Google search engines out there like DuckDuckGo, neeva is big on Online privacy. So, no ads. Its stated revenue model – subscription.
“Our mission is to serve our users, & only our users,” is the tagline of neeva.
Towards this, Neeva has a “Digital Bill of Rights” on its Website which reassures users & informs them of their rights to privacy, controls to data collection, data usage transparency, etc.
Keep a watch on this space for more updates.
