We are all aware of WhatsApp stickers by now. Sticker addition has long been available on other social apps, & this new feature will probably prove popular among users. WhatsApp has provided a variety of in-house designed sticker packs, as well as added a platform for externally designed packs. Packs must be downloaded before they can be used, & users will need to be running the latest version of WhatsApp for them to function as part of a message.
Stickers take a particular format, they must have a transparent background, thereby allowing the image or artwork to appear as a ‘cutout’, also they must be exactly 512×512 pixels in size.
Viko & Co has produced a series of sticker packs for WhatsApp, but the real gem is their Sticker maker phone app, which enables WhatsApp users to design, produce & publish their own sets according to the specifications laid down by WhatsApp.
Sticker maker for WhatsApp, makes tools available to users, which cater for the construction of personalized sticker packs. So now, WhatsApp users’ can make stickers using any favorite theme as a subject. For instance – stickers of your pets, friends, family members or, perhaps stickers commemorating a special event, such as a wedding or bench-mark birthday party.
The method described on the Sticker Maker’s Google Play profile page, sets out the following steps :
- Download the app, & open the editor
- Give the pack a name using the form provided
- Use any photos, or images on your device as a basis for the sticker
- Cut out the image with your finger, re-size to the correct measurements
- Publish
The app is currently available for use with WhatsApp on Android devices, running the latest version of WhatsApp, & Android version 4.1 or higher.
