R.I.P. Internet Explorer is no more – Quick wrap

Twenty eight years after it was launched, Microsoft announced the death of the Internet Explorer browser.

The company has permanently disabled the desktop version of Internet Explorer on certain versions of Windows 10, & updated its newer browser, Microsoft Edge.

All other consumer & commercial devices that weren’t already redirected from Explorer to Microsoft Edge will also be affected, the company said. Now, when users attempt to access Explorer, they will be redirected to Edge.

The browser was originally launched by Microsoft in 1995. There were 11 versions of Explorer, with the final version being released in 2013.
