Microsoft has officially launched its overhauled Microsoft Teams chat client, promising a swifter and more user-friendly experience for Windows and Mac users. This highly anticipated upgrade, which has been in preview since March, marks a significant milestone after years of development.
The new Microsoft Teams version boasts impressive performance enhancements, with Microsoft claiming it can run up to two times faster while consuming a remarkable 50 percent less memory. This will be particularly welcome news to existing Teams users, as the previous version had a reputation for being resource-intensive on older laptops and PCs.
The installation process for the new Microsoft Teams app has also received a substantial boost, now being three times faster. Moreover, launching or joining meetings is now twice as speedy. Additionally, the app’s footprint on disk space has been reduced by a significant 70 percent, making it more storage-efficient.
