“Every” app: Connecting People through AI-Driven Games and Shared Common Ground – AI Startups

“Every”, an application, collaborates with inspirational figures to develop AI-driven games covering various topics. Users engage in daily gaming experiences to delve into personality traits, fostering self-awareness and establishing connections with those who share similar interests. The app additionally offers motivational content and aims to facilitate personal one-on-one interactions.

To facilitate these connections, the company partners with influential leaders, such as Hector Guadalupe, the founder of A Second U Foundation, which aids individuals in acquiring essential life skills after serving time in prison. These leaders or topics set the context for the generative AI. A structured format is then employed to frame the questions within the games. (Guadalupe’s AI-inspired game is scheduled for release on October 25).

While the AI-generated content may still require occasional human intervention, as the team has been training their models for only six months, the AI is primarily responsible for creating the entire game. Images accompanying the game questions are generated using Midjourney.

The app plans to launch a new game every day, in alignment with its name, with each day featuring a specific theme. For example, Mondays may focus on careers, while Fridays offer fun-oriented games, Saturdays center around family connections, and Sundays delve into spirituality or philosophy. Every also intends to tailor the games to timely events; for instance, during presidential elections, you might encounter a game related to politics.

Following gameplay, the app provides inspirational content based on user responses, including videos highlighting specific themes such as pursuing dreams or the significance of creativity.

Another feature within the app, labeled “Map,” utilizes AI to generate a personalized trait map based on the points earned through Every’s games. After trying the first game, the map may reveal your top traits, such as reasoning and finding happiness in simple things. Users can also express agreement or disagreement with these findings to refine the analysis.

The core idea behind these games is not just to enhance self-awareness but also to identify common ground with acquaintances, potentially deepening relationships. For instance, you might discover that an old friend shares your interest in international travel, or a colleague values humility in the workplace. As users gain insights from the app’s sharing, they may be inspired to engage in conversations about their discoveries.

McKean emphasizes, “A significant part of our mission is to foster one-to-one connections and to uncover shared common ground more comprehensively. Presenting the same game to every individual allows us to identify commonalities even between seemingly disparate individuals.”
