Announced at I/O 2023, Unknown Tracker Alerts are now rolling out to Android 6.0+ users this month.
This feature enhances your safety by notifying you if an unknown Bluetooth tracker is detected traveling with you. Tap the notification to access details and view a map of the tracker’s journey. You can even use the “Play sound” option to locate the tracker discreetly without the owner knowing.
When a non-user AirTag is detected with the user, they’ll receive a notification, warning the owner can see its location. Tapping the notification shows the tracker’s path, but Google ensures the data remains encrypted and isn’t shared with them.
