When it was launched in Feb 2015, the Meerkat ‘live’ video streaming app was expected to take off like a cracker. Alas, that didn’t happen. Now, the Meerkat team has decided to switch from ‘live’ video streaming to becoming a video social network. Clearly, the app has succumbed to pressure from other similar apps outed by Facebook & Twitter.
