Stung by the success of OpenAI’s ” ChatGPT”, Google has now unveiled “Bard”, which is an experimental LaMDA-powered conversational AI service. The LaMDA stands for Language Model for Dialogue Applications.
CEO Sundar Pichai said in an announcement that it was opening up Bard to “reliable testers” today.
Bard seeks to combine the breadth of the world’s knowledge with the power, intelligence and creativity of our large language models. It draws on information from the web to provide fresh, high-quality responses.

Google has been in a panic mode after the release of ChatGPT. OpenAI’s choice to make the system publicly accessible on the Web made this novel method of automatic text generation accessible to millions of people, leading to many experts to say that Google Search would become redundant soon.
