Facebook opens “Insta” Messenger API to all – News


In a major move, Facebook has announced it would open up the Messenger API for Instagram to all developers, allowing brands to offer messaging experiences on Instagram. With these new features, businesses can integrate Instagram messaging with their preferred applications & workflows, helping drive “more meaningful conversations that increase customer satisfaction & grow sales.”

At the same time, FB also announced updates at its annual F8 developer conference that would make it more easy for the over 175 million users message a WhatsApp Business account to discuss products & get customer support. These new updates will make it easier for businesses to get started using the WhatsApp Business API & for people to easily chat with these businesses, said FB. It also includes faster onboarding down to 5 minutes that the previous weeks.
