“NOWPayments” allows you to have cryptocurrency payment method on your Site – Startups

cryptocurrency payment method

If you’ve ever dreamed of having a cryptocurrency payment method on your Website, Online store or social media account, NOWPayments has an easy-to-integrate solution. The platform is non-custodial, which means that they don’t hold onto your currency or store it in any way. Plus, it supports over 50 cryptocurrencies. NOWPayments is a Seychelles based service that was started in 2019 & is part of the CHN Group Limited.

Getting started with this cryptocurrency payment method NOWPayments is a breeze. Simply sign up for an account on its Website, select an integration method & copy the HTML code, which places a button to accept payments on your Site. The service also offers plugins for a number of 3rd party e-commerce solutions & CMSs such as WooCommerce, Shopify, Magento, OpenCart, Ecwid & PrestaShop among others.

The system’s workflow allows a users’ client to pay using the cryptocurrency of their choice, then the currency is sent to NOWpayments’ address & finally directed back to the user in the cryptocurrency of their choice. This exchange of cryptocurrency is facilitated by ChangeNOW, which is their sister company.

In addition to e-commerce payments, NOWPayments also allows users to accept donations & run fundraisers. Transaction fees are relatively low & the service becomes more cost effective the higher the users’ transaction volume. If no exchange of cryptocurrency is necessary, transaction fees start at 0.5%, but rise by a further 0.5% if the unit is converted to another currency. Since cryptocurrency is very volatile NOWPayments allows users to transact at a fixed rate for the duration of the exchange (with special permission) at a rate of 1% of the transaction.

NOWPayments also offers a developer API so that cryptocurrency payments can be integrated into apps & they encourage developers to test their service via a Sandbox system that allows “fake” transactions so that developers can be confident in the service before they run it “live”.
