Xorbrowser, a ‘Frontier Browser’ for Blockstack – #Startups

Blockstack, decentralized Internet, trustless systems, serverless systems, like Bitcoin and Blockchain these are all the buzz words of our generation’s digital world, a world where users may choose to control their own data, select stateless currency, and eliminate the need to rely on middlemen, such as banks, hosting servers and applications which store their data Online, all too ready for greedy hackers.

Blockstack offers unique domain names ending in the .id format, anyone can claim an ID, as long as it’s not already registered on their system. Once an ID is assigned, an application, usually a SPA(Single Page Application), can be built, generally,  in JavaScript, to set up a Website on the back of the stack. This Website is unlike anything previously offered on the Net – there are no servers, no need to write login scripts, no user content to store, no hackers to ward off. Why? Well, because, Blockstack is decentralized… there is no need to code facilities for user data storage, since each user controls their own data, only allowing applications they verify to access it.

Data can be served from well known, trusted apps, such as Dropbox or BitTorrent, while users can quit at any time, since they can disqualify verification. Not only does this system make sense for users, it’s a ‘Responsibility Free’ option for coders, as well – no more headaches over creating security safe applications, no more sleepless nights, while trying to code hacker resilient login systems. It’s the dawn of a new Internet, one built on principles, which, at last, make sense.

Naturally, these new protocols need attendant services to create value for users, browsers, search engines, advertising, all the obvious necessities we see on our current internet, need writing for this edge-defining opportunity. So, are there services?

Indeed, there are, and they’re growing daily. One such offering is Xorbrowser  a browser, specifically developed to traverse this new Internet. Websites, created on Blockstack, using drag-n-drop facilities can, easily be accessed via Xorbrowser’s Website, simply enter a name in the search-bar on-site and quickly obtain a result.

Therefore, we can call Xorbrowser, a ‘frontier’ browsing application.
