OpenAI rolls out beta version of plugins to Plus users – AI

OpenAI has unveiled the latest version of ChatGPT, which includes a beta rollout of Web browsing and 70 plugins for ChatGPT Plus users.

According to a report in the Search Engine Journal this release marks a significant milestone for the AI platform, expanding the range of tasks that users can perform with ChatGPT. The new features cover various areas, such as entertainment, shopping, job searches, and weather forecasts, and are expected to transform the user experience.

ChatGPT Plus users can access the beta phase of 70 plugins and Web browsing by enabling beta features in their user settings. The plugins cover a broad range of categories, including entertainment, home improvements, investing, job searches, marketing, prompt generation, shopping, tutoring, weather, and more. However, users can only enable three plugins for each chat session.

The web browsing feature uses AI to understand a user’s prompt and find relevant information on the web. In tests, web browsing was able to provide a summary of news articles on specific topics and provide social media news stories. These experimental features promise to revolutionize the user experience, providing new possibilities for ChatGPT users, as we enter a new era of AI-driven web interaction.
