Google has started rolling out “Backup by Google One” as an update over the existing Android backup service. Android backups currently cover app data, SMS messages, call history, contacts, & device preferences.
The granular Backup by Google One can also back up photos, videos, & MMS messages.

Dubbed “Backup by Google One,” the new backup client comes under the Google One branding umbrella and offers some notable enhancements over the existing Android backup system when it comes to managing backups.
