Micro-blog Twitter has just announced on Twitch Weekly, its inaugural TwitchCon in San Francisco, USA, from September 25, 2015. TwitchCon 2015 will be a global, interactive conference for broadcasters, viewers & members of the gamers community to intermingle & understand how to take the Twitch game to the next level.
“Twitch broadcasters have the most passionate fans, so we want to create an amazing experience where they can come together in person,” said Emmett Shear, CEO, Twitch, in a blog post. “TwitchCon will be an opportunity for the entire community – broadcasters, game developers, viewers, and us – to play and learn together.”
Twitch is a global social video platform/community for digital gamers. Each month, over 100 million community members gather to watch & talk about video games with more than 1.5 million broadcasters. Twitch’s video platform is the backbone of both ‘live ‘& on-demand distribution for the entire video game ecosystem. This includes game developers, publishers, media outlets, events, user generated content, & the entire esports scene. In February 2014, Twitch was ranked the 4th largest Website in terms of peak Internet traffic in the U.S.
