Amazon Web Services (AWS) has announced the launch of “Amazon DevOps Guru”, a fully managed operations service that “makes it easy for developers & operators to improve application availability by automatically detecting operational issues & recommending fixes.”
DevOps Guru applies machine learning (ML) informed by years of operations from Amazon.com & AWS to automatically collect & analyze data such as application metrics, logs, & events to identify behavior that deviates from normal operational patterns.
Once a behavior is identified as an operational problem or risk, DevOps Guru will alert developers & operators to the details of the problem so they can quickly understand the scope of the problem & possible causes, said AWS in this post. DevOps Guru also does not require the deployment of any hardware or software.
