If its $75 billion acquisition of Activision Blizzard is approved by authorities, Microsoft is prepared to launch a new app store for games on iPhones & Android cellphones as early as next year, according to the president of its Xbox division, Phil Spencer.
According to a report in the Financial Times, according to the EU’s Digital Markets Act, new regulations mandating Apple & Google to open up their mobile platforms to app stores owned & run by other businesses are anticipated to go into effect starting in March 2024.
