A.I.6 shortens URLs to make them easier to share & memorize – Startups

Ever copied a link from your browser & found that it’s extremely long & unwieldy when you paste it on social media or elsewhere for others to follow? There are countless services offering to shorten URLs effectively, but most are not free. Enter A.I.6, a service that is both fuss-free to use & free to boot.

Currently, A.I.6 operates a service that shortens URLs (Uniform Resource Locator) into a far more manageable & memorable string, which is easy to use if you’re running an advertising campaign or simply need to share a link on social media or by email with friends or family. Although the service is anonymous & free, AI6 uses a ‘malicious link detector’ to eliminate URLs which are unsavory or suspicious in nature, additionally they only accept family friendly links.

Using the service simply couldn’t be more straightforward:

  1. Visit the A.I.6 homepage.
  2. Insert the URL you’d like to shorten in the textbox provided.
  3. Click the generate button.
  4. Copy your URL & share wherever you need to.

Presently, A.I.6’s service constructs a URL with their domain name as the readable link, in other words the URL reads https://ai6.net/zME14H or similar, but the developers are planning to release a new tool in the future that will use the input domain within the shortened version, which is better if you’re driving an advertising campaign.(better for search engines that is)

In addition to the shortening service, A..I6 also offers a free stats service, a link which you can copy & keep that leads directly to a page detailing the number of visits your link has garnered.

The service uses a scanner bot to check links for suspicious software & incorrectly formed code, so your link may not render immediately, you might need to wait for 30 minutes before using your shortened URL. If a 404 error persists, you can contact the developers to discover the reason.
