Spotlight Stories is a relatively unknown smartphone-based video platform run by Google’s Advanced Technology And Projects (ATAP) Group. It’s essentially a series of interactive YouTube videos compatible with Android phones. What makes it kinda mind-boggling is its non-interactive 360-degree video version for iOS or Web users. The 1st such video was launched in 2013. Now, on occasion of Christmas, these guys have launched a fresh video called, ‘Special Delivery’, in collaboration with UK studio Aardman Animations. In Special Delivery, the video follows a caretaker who’s disturbed by a mysterious stranger on the roof, moving from room to room, leaving behind gifts. Essentially, it’s animation but done differently.
