The feature also automatically hides the contents of chats in notifications, making it more difficult for others to read them. The feature is designed to be helpful for those who share their phones with family or friends and to keep private conversations confidential. Users can secure both individual and group chats by tapping the name of the conversation and selecting the lock option.
