Their archive of tweets maintains a record of public statements for Twitter users who have more than 10k followers. Post Ghost follows Twitter accounts that are public, & verified by Twitter, then archives their tweet deletion & updates.

As its developers claim, this startup will help hold public figures who have a large number of followers accountable for what they tweet. Given that Twitter doesn’t have an edit function you could use Post Ghost to see if someone deleted to correct a typo or just tweaked the tweet.

Post Ghost has a drop-down menu option where you can select topics for tweets you would like to appear on your screen. Some of the available options include; Politics (which is divided into US Congress & Senate as well as UK & Australian politics), News by NYT staff, CNN staff & tech journalists, & finally a Sports section. The app gives you the option to change the language, with 5 available languages.

For those of you who are keen on startups similar to Post Ghost, you will remember Politwoops.eu & Undetweetable.

However, unlike some of its predecessors, Post Ghost doesn’t post hateful or pornographic Content. It also doesn’t display Content with personal information or that is illegal under the US law. It also gives you the option to contact the developers in case your account is shown on the site & you believe you are not a public figure.

Post Ghost was launched in July 2016 & is located in France.
