Use an alias for your email & avoid spam – #Startup

Are you quite the privacy Nazi? Is it important to you that you not be spammed? You guard your email’s Inbox with an iron fist? There’s help at hand.

What maskbot, the ’email privacy tool’ does is vet the emails flooding into your Inbox. Their Website clearly advertises other features – you can sign up for Websites without revealing your identity, you can reply to emails anonymously, & you can block those pesky spammers.

Maskbot

Creating an alias, this US registered startup allows you to pursue your Online life in a protected environment on your pc, Mac, & mobile platforms. This Web app allows you to create as many aliases as you want, while keeping your identity private. Being an anonymous entity Online allows you to pursue your activities without the threat of hackers and spammers. You can respond to ads, pursue inquiries without committing yourself until you are sure. Camouflaging your identity allows you to carry out your Online activities without compromising your identity. So spammers, those who send loads of junk mail, & hackers will be frustrated by the iron curtain which spews out ‘block email’ & ‘anonymous reply’ features.

Maskbot has an interesting tagline: “Stay Safe From Prying Eyes”. What it does is create an alias for your true email once you sign up with maskbot. For instance, your email on social media Sites, blogs & forums will be “xyz1.12@maskbot.com”. From then on, maskbot will forward your emails to your true email address & allow you to have multiple personas. The app has a simple, intuitive & easy to use character, & you can start using it quickly after registering.

Maskbot does not require you to sign any contracts, & you are free to cancel any time. While there seems to be no free version, (the service is available for US $9.99 a month), these guys are offering a “special” rate for now. The originators of maskbot are the same ones who launched Eyetail, the selling tool that supercharges Online commerce through PayPal.

Maskbot is specific about the uses this app can be put to – “This WebApp can be used for legal activities only and/or for activities deemed ‘acceptable’ by our staff.” The list can be long, but you can’t use maskbot.com to instigate hate, racism, & other types of harassment, etc.”
