TikTok has introduced “Creator Next”, where eligible creators will be able to unlock new & existing tools to be rewarded for their creativity on TikTok.
With Creator Next, the short-video creation platform has also brought in 2 more features that allow the community to show their appreciation for creators. All of them are aimed at the various types of TikTok video creators – those who create ‘just for fun’ to side hustlers, & those who consistently create.
New tools in Creator Next
TikTok said the new “Tips” feature allows people to directly show gratitude to creators for their content, much like recognizing exceptional service or giving a standing ovation. With Tips creators will receive 100% of the tip value. Payments are processed by Stripe.
With Video Gifts, on the other hand, creators can now collect “Diamonds” not only by going “Live” but also by posting videos. More information on Video Gifts and Tips can be found here.
TikTok had also decided to open up the TikTok Creator Marketplace (TTCM) to more creators as it wanted to make it easier for creators to collaborate with brands on TikTok, where creators’ sponsored recommendations on products & services can spark massive moments for brands worldwide.. Through Creator Next, eligible creators with 10K followers or more can now sign up to TTCM to collaborate with brands on opportunities that fit their interests & creative style, opening up new ways to get paid.
