Samsung confirms Galaxy source code data breach – News

Samsung confirmed today that hackers successfully stole company data & the source code for Galaxy devices from the South Korean tech giant.

The breach was 1st reported earlier this month, with a hacking group named Lapsus$ claiming responsibility. In screenshots shared by the group allegedly responsible for the hack of Nvidia, approximately 200GB of stolen data is presented, including the source code underlying Samsung’s encryption & biometric unlocking functions.
