Thousands of PayPal users who had their accounts accessed through “credential stuffing” attacks that revealed some personal data are receiving data breach notices from the payment gateway. About 35,000 accounts were reportedly breached.
Attacks called “credential stuffing” include trying different username & password combinations obtained from data leaks on numerous Websites in an effort to get access to an account.
