Identity platform Okta has once again published a blog post saying not many of its customers were affected in the recent data breach incident.

“After a thorough analysis of these claims, we have concluded that a small percentage of customers — approximately 2.5% — have potentially been impacted and whose data may have been viewed or acted upon. We have identified those customers and are contacting them directly,” Okta CSO David Bradbury said.

“If you are an Okta customer and were impacted, we have already reached out directly by email.”

On March 22, 2022, a number of screenshots were published Online that were taken from a computer used by one of Okta’s third-party customer support engineers. Chief Security Officer David Bradbury said in the post: The sharing of these screenshots is embarrassing for myself and the whole Okta team.

David then goes on to explain the timeline & reason why he was confident that the Okta service had not been breached & “there are no corrective actions that need to be taken by our customers.”
