Needl.ai founded by Vikram Srinivasanis, is a search-based data collection platform that allows users to structure data in a sensible manner from a set of most used apps, local files & the Net. Data from chats, emails, notes, storage, social media, blogs & Websites can be integrated into a personalized data stream, making it easy to find & share relevant information without spending hours looking through data to locate relevant information.
The platform is available to users via a Web-based option, or users can download the app for both Mac & Windows. Once installed, Needl will prompt users to add various apps such as, Gmail, Google Drive, Google Calendar, Notion, & Slack. The AI driven software allows users to easily locate any piece of information across these apps, private or public data, documents, images or videos.
Needl does a lot more than simply search through data intelligently. It also allows users to create auto summaries of lengthy information, such as, conference transcripts, or PDF research reports. Additionally, Needl offers an instant automatic sentiment analysis of summarized data, which makes it all the more accessible & easier to find when needed.
Users can set up custom crawls from within the app to search Websites for niche information, which is industry specific. This means that information that might not make it to a broad Google search due to lack of SEO or advertising, will show up on a Needl feed, making the data far more relevant & newsworthy.
Another handy feature Needl offers is AWS storage which auto backs up data across all local apps connected to the service. Giving an integrated view of all items stored as well as an activity summary on the storage dashboard.
Needl is currently free to use, is secure & auto encrypted. The startup plans to add a host of other apps to the search facility in the near future. The aim is to cut through the information overload & offer users tools to categorize, tag, sort, display & share their industry or work related data seamlessly without wasting hours that could be better utilized.
