The project will focus on five areas web developers struggle with when attempting to create a consistent experience across browsers using core web layout, forms and animation tools. These include: CSS Flexbox, CSS Grid, CSS position: sticky, the CSS aspect-ratio property, and CSS transforms. Both companies point to the Compat 2021 Dashboard, which compares experimental and stable builds of Chrome, Edge, Firefox, and Safari, giving each browser a score out of 100.
