Many still use “password” as their password – News

Despite cybersecurity experts’ continuous warnings about the consequences of irresponsible password management, a new study has found that Internet users were guilty of doing so yet again. Compared to the data from 2021, 73% of the 200 most common passwords in 2022 remained the same. Furthermore, 83% of the passwords in this year’s list can be cracked in less than a second, said the study by NordPass.

This year, NordPass presented both a global list and segregated data for 30 countries worldwide. Gender-specific information is also available on its Website. Three of the most commonly used passwords globally were: password, 123456 & 123456789.
