Looks like at least some of the action on the startups front is back, & the ill-effects of the COVID-19 are fading away. In January 2022, European companies managed to raise about 12 billion Euros in funding.

European technology companies raised just over €12 billion in funding last month (aka January 2022) from more than 1,240 investors in total, across 450+ deals, and we monitored 130 exits to booth. As we mentioned before, Tiger Global was the most active investor with 11 deals accounted for. More than 30 #EUtech startups raised rounds north of €100 million in January 2022, and fintech and the UK continue to reign supreme (both the vertical and the country clocked off at roughly €3.4 billion raised in total).
