Internet Explorer browser to retire on June 15, 2022 – News

We guess it was inevitable. Microsoft has announced it would be retiring good old Internet Explorer browser.

It said the “the future of Internet Explorer on Windows 10 is in Microsoft Edge,” calling the latter a faster, more secure & more modern browsing experience than Internet Explorer.” What’s more, the change-over will also able to address a key concern: compatibility for older, legacy Websites & applications, said Microsoft.

Microsoft Edge has Internet Explorer mode (“IE mode”) built in, so you can access those legacy Internet Explorer-based Websites & apps straight from Microsoft Edge. The Internet Explorer 11 desktop application will be retired & go out of support on June 15, 2022, for certain versions of Windows 10.
