Deleting browsing history is not only important to preserve your privacy, you can also delete any cookies that have been attached to your browser. Often these cookies are not as obvious as those you’ve consented to when you’ve signed up for an account on a particular website, they can also have irritating consequences, such as to track your preferences for advertisers as well as more nefarious intentions, such as to track your website and app usage for criminal reasons.

So to keep yourself safe, always clear your history at regular intervals.
