Apple has announced its next generation of iPhones – 1 of them, the biggest iPhone yet. The 2 new Apple iPhones are the iPhone XS & iPhone XS Max. They look almost identical to their predecessor, but they are not They’re both available in gold, & well, the XS Max is huge. It’s the biggest iPhone ever made.
In addition to the new Apple iPhones, Apple also announced at its Wednesday event a lower-cost model that splits the difference in size, called the iPhone XR.
The “Max” model has a huge 6.5-inch screen, which is bigger than the current largest phone, the iPhone 8 Plus (5.5 inches), & even bigger than rival, Samsung Galaxy Note 9 (6.4 inches).
Apple also announced the Apple Watch Series 4. It’s the largest Apple Watch display yet, & comes with a new electrical heart sensor & a re-engineered digital crown with haptic feedback.
Incidentally, Apple has now said that it will be releasing iOS 12, the next major version of iOS, on September 17. It will be available as a free download. If your iPhone or iPad runs iOS 11, you’ll be able to update to iOS 12 as Apple plans to keep supporting all existing iOS 11 devices.
The iOS 12 reportedly will deliver performance better than the earlier versions. If you have an iPhone 6 or an iPad Air for instance, you should see a big improvement when it comes to launching apps, triggering the camera and entering text.
