Hacker hides Github codes, demands ransom – Quick wrap

A malware seeker has wiped off Git source code of 100s of developers erased & replaced with  a ransom demand.

The hacker claims all source code has been downloaded & stored on one of their servers, & gives the victim 10 days to pay the ransom.

The attacks appear to be coordinated across Git hosting services (GitHub, Bitbucket, GitLab).

No none can understand how they are happening.

The hacker removes all source code & recent commits from vitcims’ Git repositories.

He, then, leaves a ransom note behind that asks for a payment of 0.1 Bitcoin (~$570).
