Google Android’s new app “Look To Speak” is now generally available – News

Google has generally released its project called “Look to Speak”, an app that lets people use their eyes to choose pre-written phrases for their phone to speak out loud.

From today, Look to Speak is available to everyone & is compatible with Android 9.0 & above, including Android One, announced Google from its official blog.

With the app, people simply have to look left, right or up to quickly select what they want to say from a list of phrases. What’s more, another feature allows users to personalize the words & phrases in their own voice. The eye gaze sensitivity settings can be adjusted. Also, all of the data is private & never leaves the phone.

Here’s a tutorial that Google created & a guide with top tips to help users get acclimatized to it
